The real standout of our stay was Kaesa, who was amazingly friendly and helpful. This may be the best homestay host I've ever met, so enthusiastic and happy to help with anything. He gave lots of advice and recommendations, from good prices to pay for fruit to how to ask for vegetarian food and what to expect on the hiking route. Would absolutely recommend!

The staff do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, from organising transport to and from the accomodation, to singing tunes with you at night! The inclusion of a jungle trek in our stay was the highlight! We were taken on a 1 day trek with Wahyun and the absolutely hilarious Bandito who were knowledgeable and so much fun during our trip. The food from the kitchen was nice and gave a taste of the local cuisine. Overall this was an amazing stay that we will definitely be recommending to friends back home!!

Very friendly and accommodating owners and great view of the rice paddies from the windows (that covered all the walls) of my room. Lived the true Sumatran shower experience: sluicing buckets of water down my body felt SO refreshing in the humid warm weather.  Also, loved the porch area just outside of the hotel!

The staff is really helpful and kind. They organized everything for us, such as a dolphin tour, scooter, snorkeling equipment, transfer and so on.

The place is very cosy, the rooms very clean, good value for money, but the most important and the most remarkable is DILAH. She is the nicest, kindest and most dedicated person we have met in Indonesia. If you have a couple of days or more, she will make your experience as rewarding as possible. She will get you all the food and fruit you want for breakfast, and even if you want to see crocodiles, she will wait with you for 3 or 4 hours until they show up! Hahaha I would definitely recommend her a million times. If you want to do a tour in Sumatra, I recommend you to talk to her and spend at least one day there. She deserves everything and more. It's in an excellent location right on the river in the quiet spot of bukit lawang but still only a short walk from where all the action is and if you don't wish to walk there is a taxi service very close by which will get you into town. The rooms are very nice and the food choices are good and there is soft drinks and beers available for those that wish. Also the garden area is very beautiful with a lot of wildflowers and butterflies flying around so it's a pleasure even just to sit on your balcony and enjoy the view
