It was clear that the guesthouse has a high standard when it comes to cleanliness.** The bed, bathroom, and common areas were all kept spotless, making the stay feel very comfortable and reassuring. The biggest highlight, however, is the view. From the balcony, you can overlook the town, surrounded by lush greenery and distant mountains. The sky and clouds change beautifully throughout the day, and simply sitting in the room in the morning or at sunset is already a relaxing experience. **This view is without a doubt the biggest selling point of the guesthouse.** Iphui is a thoughtful and capable host who clearly understands travelers’ needs. He proactively provides detailed information about the **Mount Sibayak volcano tour**, helps arrange transportation, and gathers guests together so everyone can join conveniently and at a fair price. Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

We had the best time at Sumatra expedition lodge. The room was spacious, clean and had air con and a fan. The family were lovely and the workers were so friendly and helpful. We had amazing meals at the lodge (our favourite the tempeh rengdeng). We also did a jungle trek organised by the lodge. We had the most incredible day with our tour guide Oman and his helper Onkey (sorry if wrong spelling). Oman was so great with 20 plus years of experience in the jungle he was so knowledgeable and we saw so much beautiful jungle and wildlife. He also deeply cared about the environment and was a great advocate for animal wellbeing and safety. We were fortunate enough to see lots of monkeys and observe the orangutan’s up close. Definitely recommend 10/10

The restaurant on spot is quite unique, healthy dishes, excellent breakfast, lots of fruits, salades, healthy bowls available. Great resto close to the guesthouse for dinner, Samuel restaurant... Amazing fried Toba fish.. Recommended by the owner/manager of HubTata... A real Schatzi as our friends called him😊

This stay was an unbelievable experience! The location was great, because you are really in nature and the river is right next to it. We went on a 2-day trek and it was incredible to see an Orang-Utan mother and her baby! The guides were very funny and kind, I felt really comfortable. Another highlight was the BBQ we did together with live acoustic guitar music. Also we made the village tour where I learned how Tufo is made and the locals were all the friendliest people. The WIFI was working fantastically. It was the perfect get-away from the busy city life. I will definitely come again, thanks for everything.
