Featuring mountain views and a garden, 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou offers accommodation attractively situated in Nakatsugawa, within a short distance of Toson Memorial Museum, Magome Wakihonjin... Extraordinary settings, it was the most unusual place we stayed during our trip throughout Japan. The rooms were clean and had everything you need, the beds in the shared rooms were surprisingly spacious and the staff was very kind and attentive.

Well situated in the centre of Takayama, Mercure Hida Takayama offers air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Great location. Easy walk to the Takayama train station. Hotel is new and clean. Onsen was good. Overall, had a great stay.

The private onsen is at a good price point and brings an already lovely hotel up a level. Located right next to the train station and bus terminal, making it very convenient for our two nights in Takayama

Residence Hotel Takayama Station is situated conveniently in the centre of Takayama, and offers a fitness centre, free WiFi and a terrace. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The rooms were large clean and had everything. It would be a fantastic place to have an extended stay

Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 45 km of Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village and 46 km of Takayama Station. The place was incredible! Big rooms, amazing facilities and wonderful staff! The onsens were great as well!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Lovely staff and very clean property. We stayed in the dorm room and it was spacious and the facilities were all very well kept. Quick walk to the train/bus station and lots of restaurants and shop also a short walk away

We just love this place ! Beautiful and best service ! We have one of the bigger room , very comfortable tatami futon bed and both breakfast & dinner were outstanding ! Hope to return one day !

I stayed in a family room, japanese style, very traditional. What a comfortable room, clean, very well equipped and with several ammenities. The breakfast is fantastic with 3 choices, but I'd suggest the japanese one to close with a full japanese experience. Finally, the staff is so lovely and very attentives with everything. A special thank to this amazing team.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. We had an amazing stay here, the in-room onsen was a great addition! We loved the Ryokan-style hotel, and we got a really nice surprise for our honeymoon from the staff, which was really thoughtful. The food was amazing, and the private outdoor onsens were very beautiful.
