Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Great location and charming accomodation and room. The onsens were some of the best I've ever used in Japan, the extra hot bath is especially great on a cold night. Staff were extremely helpful and showed me places worth visiting in Kusatsu. Would definitely stay again.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. Outside onsen is spectacular. I absolutely recommend to spend at least one night there. Nature environment is astonishing. Very quiet place. Dinner and breakfast very good. The hotel is not new, as many reviews say, but i found it really nice. We has some extra needs and staff Made everything possible to Meet them. I really appreciate their help

Hiljuti renoveeritud majutusasutus BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn asub Kusatsus, 47 km kaugusel Jigokudani ahvipargist. Tubades on konditsioneer ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Kohapeal on privaatne parkla. Location, staff, kitchen/common area and the private onsen. Parking lot was plenty. The hostess let us check-in early even though we arrived relatively early. The rooms were traditional style with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery asub Minakamis, 36 km kaugusel Gala Yuzawa Snow kuurordist. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad, tasuta eraparkla, aed ja ühine puhkeruum. Our stay at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery was lovely. We arrived a bit late, but the staff were still there to welcome us and check us in. We decided to try the Italian restaurant ‘Small Restaurant Sae’ just up the street, and it did not disappoint. The property is also within a 6-minute drive to a FamilyMart. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast and coffee in the morning were delicious. We ran into the property owner, Craig, as we were leaving, and he was very kind and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. We would definitely stay at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery on our next trip to Tanigawa!

Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami asub Minakamis, 33 km kaugusel Gala Yuzawa Snow kuurordist. Kohapeal on terrass, tasuta eraparkla ja restoran. Hotel staff is friendly and really made us feel at home with their personalised service. We love the Kaiseki dinner, their sets breakfast, and their rooms are equipped with private onsen and it is Modernised and exceptionally clean. Their public onsen is spacious, clean and fully equipped.

Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar asub Kiryus, 35 km kaugusel Kumagaya ragbistaadionist ja 48 km kaugusel Ishidan-gai trepist. Kohapeal on ühisköök ja päikeseterrass. Wonderful very kind hosts. Provided very helpful information on restaurants and places to visit. Very unique building.

This little Ryokan-style hotel was so nice that I missed it very much after leaving Kusatsu Onsen. I have stayed in a total of 14-16 hotels all over Japan by now (over the years) and this is easily one of the best (if not the very best). I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast very much: it was very elegant as well as nutritious. They also checked the ingredients with me. The wide Tatami mat area exceeded expectations: I could relax with panoramic views of the snow capped mountains while dining or just working (digital nomad-ing was easy with fast wifi). There were many drawers and cupboards: storage space was never an issue. The Toto Smart toilet was more advanced than those variants in 5-Star hotels. The hotel is proximate to all the important places and just opposite the bus stand: I only just had to cross the road with my luggage. I also discovered multiple short routes to Yubatake every single day (I stayed for three days). The same family/organisation also operates the Yume Hana restaurant next door and guests of Oyado Yukizumi receive a complimentary beverage service while dining in Yume Hana. The Yukata they provide is very nice and I wore the same to the main Onsens in the area. The staff are very caring and kind hearted, for example, when I was leaving, seeing that it was raining, they asked me to take their umbrella with me (I declined the same). Later, I missed the level of kindness and attention to each individual guest I received while staying here - that is something you will not get from large branded hotels. Thank you, Oyado Yukizumi, I was very touched.

Boasting garden views, Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 offers accommodation with balcony, around 28 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. While the location was a bit out of the way (roughly 25min drive from Takasaki station), it was in a beautiful and quiet spot surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom. The room we had was the biggest out of all the places we stayed in Japan, was clean and comfortable, and had a private garden with covered deck and outdoor bath, which was absolute bliss after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The hospitality shown to us by the staff was exceptional, and we had no problem communicating through limited Japanese/English. They served traditional meals, which were beautifully presented and a delight to eat, having small servings of lots of different things. We made use of the free bicycles and had a great time exploring the area while getting a bit of exercise.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) asub Kusatsus, 45 km kaugusel Jigokudani ahvipargist ja 14 km kaugusel Kusatsu Shirane mäest. Külalised saavad nautida massaaže ja mäevaadet. Very friendly staff. The hotel also has a great location , right near shopping areas and the nearby onsen park.

Chigira Jinsentei asub Shibukawas, kõigest 46 km kaugusel Usui Passi raudtee pärandipargist. Kohapeal on vabaõhuvann, aed ja lift. Kolmetärnihotelli igast majutusruumist avaneb vaade mägedele. The food was really good, the onsen was excellent and no complaints about the location!
