Akira and his family/staff could not have been more welcoming hosts. Akira personally picked us up from the bus station to bring us to the lodge and gave us a tour on arrival. We were able to check in early and hit the slopes at Goryu (<10 min walk). Hakuba Third Place Lodge’s private onsen was heavenly - we used it every day after snowboarding and it was never close to booked up. The room was clean, beautiful, spacious for what we paid and had great natural light. There was a cozy communal lounge space to play card games or watch shows that we actually took advantage of due to the welcoming atmosphere. The breakfasts were also great - my girlfriend is vegetarian, and they went out of their way to find a protein-filled replacement for the meat portion of the breakfast. Akira also gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us book our return bus to Tokyo, and even checked with another local before leaving us at the bus station to confirm we were at the right part of the station. I would have paid twice the amount in the United States for half the service we got here. I hope to be lucky enough to visit Hakuba again and stay at Third Place Lodge. I will be encouraging all my friends and family to stay here if they visit

It’s very easy to meet people here, with a great mix of chill and party vibes. While there aren’t organised events, it was super easy to meet people in the dorms and common areas and head out together for food and drinks. The staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly, welcoming, and easy to chat with. They were also really helpful with transport advice, food recommendations, and suggestions for places to ride and visit around Hakuba. The dorms were really nice and well set up. The beds were super comfortable, with plenty of storage under the bunks and privacy curtains, which was a great touch. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms and showers were modern, spacious, and spotless. The common area was also very clean and cosy, and the fireplace at night was a highlight. The location is excellent, super close to Echoland main street with heaps of food and drink options nearby. It’s also very close to multiple bus stops that make getting to all the resorts easy. There’s a short walk to both 7-Eleven and Lawson, a short walk to the main town, and plenty of rental shops close by. Despite being so close to the main street, it was quiet at night and easy to sleep. It wasn’t overcrowded, and the rooms were warm with heaters in both the dorms and common areas. The Joint is perfect for solo travellers, first-timers to Hakuba, and anyone looking for a social stay in a super convenient location. I’d 100% stay here again.

The Guest House Japan Hakuba日式旅馆位于白马，距离Hakuba Iwatake Ski Area滑雪场2.8公里，距离Hakuba Cortina Ski Area滑雪区16公里，拥有花园、露台、共用休息室和免费WiFi。旅馆距离Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal巴士总站约有8分钟步行路程，距离Happo One Ski... 我是独自一人出行到白马滑雪，预订时间是入住的2周前，遇上日本三连休其实已经没有什么可选择的空余住宿了，综合考虑了住宿地周边设施和booking评分，这家有全女性宿舍房价也不高最后选的这里。 住宿有提供车站、雪场的接送服务，但是我到达前没有能够了解到需要特别的即时通讯APP才能联络到住宿方来接站，以致于没有经验的我拖着沉重的行李箱和滑雪装备步行抵达住宿地点，路上有积雪箱子滚轮会卡住，并且从八方巴士总站到住宿地的路有一段不算短的上坡路，走起来非常困难（但是我遇到了非常友善的好心澳洲籍游客帮助了我搬运行李，非常感谢），这不是店家的问题，只是给后续需要下榻的朋友们一点参考，尽量在入住前先和店方沟通好接站时间这是最好的！ 老板娘人很友善，有日本籍和澳洲籍的雇员、兼职，使用日语和英语交流是没有问题的，老板娘会询问第二日希望前去的雪场、出发时间然后登记在客厅的白板上安排人员接送，非常方便，而且也能节省下一小笔坐收费接驳巴士的费用。 住宿的动线设计很科学，滑雪归来走底下的小门可以直接进入烘干室，雪鞋、雪板、雪服都可以进门就脱下挂起烘干，第二天滑雪的时候穿上直接走出门。烘干室里也有投币使用的洗衣机和烘干机。 早餐提供煎蛋、培根、吐司、咖啡、牛奶、麦片、酸奶、果酱、黄油，很温馨，对于滑雪的早上营养结构也很充分了。 特别要说的是，在我最后一日退房后仍然为我提供了雪场接送服务，还借给了我毛巾让我可以到八方温泉洗浴，回到住宿地取到寄存的行李还送我到了八方巴士总站，极大地帮助了我，非常感谢！
