Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! The house and the facilities were amazing. I had to admit that I did not have the chance to enjoy them as they should due to my travel schedule, but next time I come to Japan on holidays I will spend at least a couple of nights here. Also the staff was very friendly.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. Great location , close to town and the red Tori. Spacious comfortable room, view of the forest in the back, nice building with a restaurant downstairs with excellent food. Great breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. You can leave your bags if needed. We walked from the ferry, 20-30 mns. Great bath/tubs. Everything works well.

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. The hostess Shinko-san is an absolute delight, and her son as well. They are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Shinko gave us a map of the island and gave some recommendations on what to do. Her son is the chef and prepared a phenomenal traditional seven-course dinner for us. He explained every dish and takes pride in his work. The ingredients are all locally sourced. One of - if not the - best meals during our 1-month trip in Japan. The breakfast was also very good. The house itself is beautiful and quite traditional. The room was quite big and has tatami flooring and futon beds which is a nice experience to sleep in. The location is also very convenient, right next to where the ferry arrives.

This location is a bit outside of Hiroshima, but very easy to get to by cab or train. The facilities were beautiful, and our room was comfortable with very thoughtful amenities and a beautiful private onsen. The main lobby has bountiful snacks and an incredible sake selection, as well as tons of other beverages that we could help ourselves to as we pleased. Both of our meals were so delicious, much more food than we were able to eat, and our whole party got to share a private dining room with an open hearth. This was truly a wonderful experience, and I would recommend anyone to book here and make the trip!
