From the moment I arrived, Emi made me feel at home, with her warm and kind energy. Her husband Soku is a great surfing teacher and a kind man. The hostel is very homey, clean, comfortable and you can use their bicycles for exploring the area. I stayed for 3 nights and wish I could have stayed longer, they made me feel like part of the family ❤️ I will definitely come back again!

Well thought out private dwelling, with juliet balcony where your bed is. Little kitchenette, with fridge. The bathroom is big and well planned out. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room so you can make it warm and cosy (there is also a heater/ac/fan, for all temps!). We were only there one night and paid to have an evening meal there. Four courses cooked by the owner, all locally sourced, delicious! Highly recommend this place. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hiking in the nearby national park.

Le Lodge Mimitsu ligger 29 km från Totoro-kō och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en trädgård, en terrass, en balkong och gratis WiFi. By far the best place we stayed on our road trip. So incredible and the facilities were top notch! Wish we could've stayed more cause we didn't expect it to be so beautiful. Check-in was super easy and I loved the hand written notes with my name on it. Made it very welcoming. Definitely would recommend.

Guesthouse ＆ Beach Cafe Fuego ligger i Hyuga, 24 km från Totoro-kō, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en bar. Very close to the beach, great if you want to surf. The family that runs it are incredible, super welcoming friendly and informative about the area. A great place to stay will hopefully return in the future. Big shout out to Yukie for being wonderful! And helping with my japanese.

The Little Garden ligger i Miyazaki, 17 minuters promenad från Cape Iruka, och har en trädgård, rökfria rum, gratis WiFi och en gemensam lounge. It is provided everything so I didn't have to worry about towels or toilet supplies. Also coffee and tea are free. The whole place is tidy and neat. And the view is the most beautiful I've ever seen. On the other hand, I have to highlight the kindness of the owner, she was so helpful. Definitely I'd stay again there, it worths it.

Detta ryokan öppnade i april 2014 efter en omfattande renovering och erbjuder rymliga rum omgivna av lugna berg. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and helpful. We had rented a car and in the morning we found that the staff had placed a cover over the wind screen to prevent frost from forming. We were impressed by their attention to detail.

Incredible property and the ryokan was immaculate, tranquil and friendly. The staff were all wonderful and the owner is very kind. We were late to our gorge boat and she gave us a lift in the van. The meals were also wonderful. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Thank you again!

The triangle hub Miyazaki erbjuder gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering och ligger i Miyazaki, bara 17 minuters promenad av Miyazaki station. This is the best apartment that I have stayed in my 2-week vacation in Kyushu. Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night (original was 2 nights) as our flight from Yakushima island was cancelled due to bad weather. Rather than flying, we took the Toppy jetfoil. Host was kind enough to adjust our stay from 2 nights to 1 night. This place has everything and better amenities/facilities than hotels. Very good experience.
