He explained and showed everything to us that was usable in the hostel. There are multiple showers and toilets, as well as a kitchen and laundry available. For the price, it’s really great and I recommend it if you’re just looking for a place to stay the night!

The host was proactive and reached out offering to pick up from bus stop. She was very friendly and filled me in with all the necessary info about sado island and also was kind to offer a bowl of persimmon. The bed was very comfortable and i found it difficult to wake up!

The hosts, including the cat, Mame, were most kind, warm, and hospitable. We went to the restaurants that they recommended. Ichihiro was superb, so good that we went twice! The host drove us there and back so that we could enjoy sake. The place is just lovely - the decor, the space. Everything works well. Heating was great as the weather turned cold. Appreciate the washing machine too. Despite the language barrier, we communicated well. Sincerely appreciate the oranges and persimmons that they gave us. They were so delicious!

My sister and I went to Myoko Kogen for a ski week. We stayed at this Pension. Papa was so generous to pick us up at the train station and return us at the end of our trip. He was also really good about helping us to the 2 neighboring ski resorts. I will say if you want to ski Seki or resorts outside of town, he unfortunately doesn't have time. The bus system wasn't working either. The breakfast was standard, good for the value and prompt. The location was walking distance to places to eat and a bus stop. The hosts were extremely kind.

Satoshi-san is extremely helpful and accommodating in ensuring my family of four has an enjoyable time. He helped with our luggage and provided transportation to and from Echigo Yuzawa Station during check in/out and also to nearby ski resorts because Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort did not have sufficient snow. Many thanks to him and his staff!!

Maruyama Onsen Kojyokan ligger i Minami Uonuma, 2 km från Maiko Snow Resort. Här erbjuds en terrass och en varm källa. Privat parkering erbjuds utan extra kostnad. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. Truly one of the most wonderful inns I’ve stayed at in all of my times in Japan! The place is immaculate and feels lovely and new while also having a wonderful 「懐かしい」 vibe to it. From the very start all of the staff were kind and considerate and showed us all the ropes! I adored that the entry into the rooms is all keyless—there’s touch keypads on the doors! We tried all three baths since we reserved the wonderful private rooftop bath. As an FYI for anyone unaccustomed to such a thing, the rooms themselves do not have showers—you’re meant to use the bath areas for your cleaning, so if you’re uncomfortable with the onsen experience in Japan just be aware! You totally should get over your anxieties and use the bath though—they’re relaxing and luxuriant! We had one dinner with them and two breakfasts, and all of the food was absolutely delightful! The breakfast was buffet style and full of local/seasonal ingredients, and the dinner was course after course and we were very very well fed. All in all, I can’t say enough wonderful things. We adored our stay!

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful, great location near the train and ski/snowboard school, buffet breakfast catered for all tastes and Japanese style room was a great experience

Kogakuro ligger i ett fridfullt landskap och erbjuder trevliga rum i japansk stil med gott om dagsljus. Awesome cultural experience, convient to some of the best powder skiing, onsen soak after day of skiing, all staff - from the kindest owner to her Japanese and seasonal team from Australia was so helpful... overall the best!
