He explained and showed everything to us that was usable in the hostel. There are multiple showers and toilets, as well as a kitchen and laundry available. For the price, it’s really great and I recommend it if you’re just looking for a place to stay the night!

The host was proactive and reached out offering to pick up from bus stop. She was very friendly and filled me in with all the necessary info about sado island and also was kind to offer a bowl of persimmon. The bed was very comfortable and i found it difficult to wake up!

The hosts, including the cat, Mame, were most kind, warm, and hospitable. We went to the restaurants that they recommended. Ichihiro was superb, so good that we went twice! The host drove us there and back so that we could enjoy sake. The place is just lovely - the decor, the space. Everything works well. Heating was great as the weather turned cold. Appreciate the washing machine too. Despite the language barrier, we communicated well. Sincerely appreciate the oranges and persimmons that they gave us. They were so delicious!

The location near the ski bus stop was ideal, the breakfast was a perfect start to each day, and the accommodation was spotless. But what truly set this place apart was the heartfelt hospitality of the hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. They ensured we had all the information regarding transportation. Their generosity extended to offering us rides, making our stay incredibly convenient.

Pension Moomin Papa ligger i Myoko, 31 km från Zenkō-ji tempel och 33 km från Nagano station, och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi, luftkonditionering, en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. My sister and I went to Myoko Kogen for a ski week. We stayed at this Pension. Papa was so generous to pick us up at the train station and return us at the end of our trip. He was also really good about helping us to the 2 neighboring ski resorts. I will say if you want to ski Seki or resorts outside of town, he unfortunately doesn't have time. The bus system wasn't working either. The breakfast was standard, good for the value and prompt. The location was walking distance to places to eat and a bus stop. The hosts were extremely kind.

Satoshi-san is extremely helpful and accommodating in ensuring my family of four has an enjoyable time. He helped with our luggage and provided transportation to and from Echigo Yuzawa Station during check in/out and also to nearby ski resorts because Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort did not have sufficient snow. Many thanks to him and his staff!!

Maruyama Onsen Kojyokan ligger i Minami Uonuma, 2 km från Maiko Snow Resort. Här erbjuds en terrass och en varm källa. Privat parkering erbjuds utan extra kostnad. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. The staff were super nice and helpful. They tried their best to help us if we have any questions.

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. The food at breakfast and dinner was varied and exceptional. All of the dishes I tried I liked , and they had a nice variety of western and Japanese. The room we had was huge and very comfortable. The onsen facilities were excellent, and very well kept. We are skiers and this hotel was very well setup for skiers. They have locker rooms for storage as well as changing, and on checkout day you can leave all your luggage , go ski, come back and change and then leave. But what makes this hotel a standout is the staff. I speak limited Japanese but had no issues communicating with the staff either speaking directly to them or using google translate. They are kind, patient and will do anything to help you. On checkout day, we went skiing and came back at 11:30 and needed to use the courier service taqubin which is conveniently located inside the hotel gift shop. However, we failed to notice beforehand that the shop takes a close break from 11:30 until 3:30 and our train leaves at 3;15. We were very stressed but the lady who runs the store and handles the courier said no problem, she would stay open just for us and give us time to change out of our ski clothes ,repack our ski gear and come back. It took us longer than we thought to repack and change because we had some trouble locating the ski bag as it was behind the counter in long storage. It didn’t matter, she still waited and when we finally finished she patiently helped us with the forms and everything was handled . When we left again for the station we had some time to wait so we purchased some small sweets and went back to give them to the staff as a thank you for all their exceptional efforts and help with our stay . They seemed genuinely surprised and happy and then walked out to wave us goodbye! How nice and a great happy surprise for us! We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back someday.

Kogakuro ligger i ett fridfullt landskap och erbjuder trevliga rum i japansk stil med gott om dagsljus. Amazing staff, lots of help organising everything.
