Hotel staff is very friendly and able to converse in English.

Very chilled vibe, helpful and friendly reception and subtle vintage and minimalist decor made this place a pleasure to stay. Stayed only 1 night bit I wish I could have stayed longer.

Set in Yufu, 48 km from Crasus Dome Oita, Ryokan Yamanami features accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and spa facilities. We stayed at Mangetsu room and it was amazing. The room is very clean and equipped with everything I need. The outdoor onsen is open air but still very private, it's totally recommended for couple. Staffs were very helpful and kind too. One more thing, don't turn away just because you see they don't serve dinner or breakfast in room. They do it with purpose that you will get the best view when you are eating. We wished we can stay longer and will come back someday.

The apartment was new, spacious, and quiet, and in a good location with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and stores. Very good value for the accommodation.

Situated in Yufu, 44 km from Crasus Dome Oita, Bessou Konjakuan features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. As a family of four, we stayed at a handful of hotels during our time in Japan. This was our favorite by far. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here, and it was nothing short of magical. Since our time was short, we barely left the resort. Our personal onsen was dreamy, and we also had access to the communal pool. The meals were beautiful and gave us the opportunity to try traditional dishes. Our room was very clean, cozy, and spacious. We had a Japanese-style room and found the futons to be very comfortable. There was a TV in the room, but we didn't feel the need to turn it on. The wifi was strong enough for all our needs as well. Although our Japanese is very limited, the staff made an effort to communicate with us. This was very much appreciated! We relied heavily on Google Translate. As parents with teenage boys, it's difficult to find something the entire family enjoys, but this was it!

Very kind hostess, nice tasteful house, with double (in fact triple) onsens, great! Spaceous room. Morning coffee and boiled eggs served in room. Five Kannawa hells of Beppu within walking distance. Ask for dinner recommendation, and follow the advice! Do not miss the Kannawa steam bath, 5mins on foot. Parking easy, just come downhill by car, easier access that way.

How clean it was, the amount of beds and futons available, everything was available from cooking essentials, cleaning essentials, and everything. The staff were really nice and helpful.

The pictures don't do the room justice. The stay itself was just lovely. I recommened to stay for the beppu onsen matsuri.

The private onsen rooms were amazing. Our room had 2 private (one indoor and one outdoor onsen) plus the main bath house. Staff is amazing and so friendly.
