For those, who wish to connect with the local communities and not just visit the island, but experience the island. Everyone speaks amazing English. The room was super comfortable & charming. Everything feels very communal (with enough privacy) and it was one of my favorite accommodations I‘ve ever stayed in.

They went the extra mile to get everything we needed. Examples: We don't eat seafood so they changed our table for supper to non seafood. They called my next hotel to book the shuttle bus as the other hotel never returned my email. They made sure at check-in all activities were booked so they could send us on shuttle bus to start and end the bus tour.

This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.
