The home has many stories and collections from the numerous travels by the host, Yuki He speaks very good English and makes it easy to share travel notes. With his vast travel experience, he can relate to traveller's requirements and willing to assist in making our stay as enjoyable and less stressful as possible eg booking restaurant, car rental. Tremendous help as locals in Rishiri don't speak English. The location is great, within walking distance to onsen - a very good onsen which we enjoyed a lot, car rental and good restaurant - Bonten and convenience store. We are very glad we chose this place to stay on Rishiri Island. The experience made it more memorable by Yuki when he cooked us a fantastic dinner one evening. Yuki has many talents, and he is passionate about Rishiri and ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

It feels like you are in a home stay than a hostel. The accomodation is very comfortable and clean. They pick you from the ferry terminal or airport. It is walking distance to the ferry terminal if you don't mind walking and right next to the Yuhigaoka observatory. Nice ,cozy lounge .

They went the extra mile to get everything we needed. Examples: We don't eat seafood so they changed our table for supper to non seafood. They called my next hotel to book the shuttle bus as the other hotel never returned my email. They made sure at check-in all activities were booked so they could send us on shuttle bus to start and end the bus tour.

This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.
