The host took us site seeing on the way back to the station and shared knowledge about the area and history. We had a fun time!

Went hiking in the hills one day, superb and took the ferry to the island the next and from there to Nagahama. Great trip.

This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.

Anzono our waiter for our dinner service went above and beyond. When one of us had to leave dinner before dessert to make their massage appointment, he offered and prepared a plate of the full dessert on a tray to be taken to the room for enjoyment afterwards.
