Machiya no Yado Iroha está en Nagahama, a 14 km de Castillo Hikone, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y restaurante. The property is located in a unique neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants. It is also a walking distance from the Nagahama Castle and the Biwako. The room was very spacious and well equipped, total silence during the night. The hotel also provided some mini bar snacks and cup ramen. The parking lot was easy to find and there were signs indicating where the reception was. We would totally come back for another visit!

Guesthouse Izame Ann se encuentra en Nagaoka, a 15 km de Castillo Hikone, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y bar. Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

近江の町家 門, que tiene vistas al jardín, ofrece alojamiento con terraza y hervidor, y está a unos 37 km de Templo Enryaku-ji. La ubicación en el barrio patrimonial, el saber que estas en un edificio con historia, dormir en un tatami, el baño, la estufa (era un dia de lluvia y no pasamos frio), el estacionamiento. Por sobretodo la buena comunicacion!!! Muy amable y acogedores

Best place to stay if you want to live in an old Japanese house but with modern toilet. Had a car and was easy to drive around town and nearby amenities

Marumo Ryokan is an authentic Japanese ryokan and is hands down the best we’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, it is impeccably clean, and the meals are a delicious traditional feast. The hosts are very accommodating and thoughtful. We took the train to Omi-Iwazu and then rode back to Omi-Takashima, where we rented bikes to visit the Shirahige shrine. We also went to Makino to spend some time at the beach. Our entire group of five wished we had planned to stay for 2 or 3 nights instead of one. It was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the rest of our trip and we would hands down all choose to stay there again!

El Biwako Hanakaido ofrece baños de aguas termales al aire libre y cubiertos, 3 sitios para comer y habitaciones con balcón y vistas al lago Biwako. Nos ha parecido muy buena la experiencia en este Ryokan, eramos 5 personas y la habitación era suficiente, tenía 2 camas y sobre el tatami pusieron 3 futones. Está a 30 minutos en tren de Kyoto, y llamas por teléfono y te vienen a recoger a la estación de Ogotoonsen. Desde las habitaciones se ve el lago. Tienen onsen privados y servicio de masajes, el público es gratuito para los huéspedes. Teníamos incluido una degustación de cena y desayuno japoneses, fue toda una experiencia que la aconsejamos. El personal muy amable y hacen una recepción personalizada para explicar como funciona todo y que horarios se escojen. Para volver, te vuelven a llevar a la estación.
