The hostel is amazing, very clean, nice common areas, kitchen well equipped and the Onsen it is just perfect. It is ideal is you don’t mind to be a little bit far from the tourist attractions like the Shinkyō Bridge and the temples.

Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. Very clean, owner operated small family run hotel. Rooms were big and lovely common areas. Close to a bus stop and owners were extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Cozy Inn is an excelent place to stay while touring Nikko and its surroundings. The room is clean, with Air conditioner, an ideal place to rest after a long day walking the temples in Nikko. Hiro is a fantastic host and deserves all the praises received in the other comments. If I ever come back to Nikko, I’m staying here. No doubt.

Guesthouse Imaichi ゲストハウス今市マチナカ ligger i Nikko, 7,7 km från Nikkō station och 8,1 km från Tōbu-Nikkō station, och erbjuder rum med luftkonditionering och delat badrum. Amazing hostel, really cozy so you get to meet the other residents, the staff was really sweet!

The Nikko Nishimachi Club a la touto is located within a short walking distance to 4 area Temples/Shrines. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers wonderful private spa access on each floor which can be reserved in advance (there is a nominal spa tax which is paid during checkout). Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.

Nikko Cottage Yurt ligger i Nikko, 13 minuters promenad från Nikkō station och 2,4 km från Nikkō Tōshō-gūs tempel, och erbjuder boende med bekvämligheter som gratis WiFi och platt-tv. The host, Sato-san, was absolutely amazing. He met us at the station, took my son & his family to their lodging, let us off and took our luggage with him. We spent the afternoon sightseeing and having lunch. We called him about 3-4 hours later when we were back at the station and told him we were going to pick up some things at the nearby supermarket before we came to the Yurt. He picked us up at the Supermarket and brought us to the Yurt where he helped us unloaded our luggage from his van and showed us how to get into the Yurt. No keys to deal with. Simple Combo lock. Sato-san begins communicating with you a few days before your arrival using Whatsapp. If you don't have it he uses e-mail which can lag behind. So, if you can set that up ahead of time, communications may go better for you.
