Kahetärniline Guest House Suzumeno Kakurembo asub Koyasanis, 37 km kaugusel Kishi jaamast ja 44 km kaugusel Matsushita pargist. My third stay here. Everything sparkling clean and comfortable as usual. Friendly, helpful people. A welcome, toasty room on a very cold day! Great location, good facilities, comfy bed. Excellent!

Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. I’m not sure if I can sum up the experience in a few words but here we go: if you are looking to live an authentic experience at Koyasan, Saizenin is without a doubt the best place to do so. For starters, the monks and staff were so friendly and helpful, explaining each step or indication carefully. The person at the front desk spoke amazing English and even German! The rooms are so comfortable and big for Japan size of course. Ours overlooked a small garden and the entrance. One of the things I loved the most was the location, right in front of the temple complex. The food was delicious and had us saying “wow” with each bite. Also, don’t pass on the opportunity to bathe in the classic onsen, so clean and so worth it! I would come back a million times and I would recommend it to everyone I know.

Situated in Nachikatsuura, 1.6 km from Nachi Beach, Pension Sora features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. One of my best hostel stays during a 6 month solo tour. The hosts spoke perfect english and were so welcoming. I even left behind my phone charger and they were kind enough to mail it to my next location. They also drove me to the train station the following morning. No to mention the views from the house are spectacular. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Comfort Hotel Kii Tanabe is set in Tanabe, 5.3 km from Tanabe City Museum of Art and 6.9 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall. Great hotel to start your Kumano Kodo trip! Staff was very friendly and there is a great breakfast buffet. Room was well laid out with comfy beds. Would recommend!

Boasting garden views, ゲストハウス柚 features accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace, around 200 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha. This was my favourite accommodation during my latest trip to Japan. Such a beautiful house! The host is incredibly kind and welcoming, made my stay relaxing. Really lovely to meet him in person. :) He thoughtfully prepared everything I wouldn't even think of bringing with me. I felt so welcomed in Shingu, thank you and I would love to be back. :)

Aiaga NONAGASE GUEST HOUSE asub Chikatsuyus, 300 meetri kaugusel Kumanokodo Nakahechi kunstimuuseumist, 29 km kaugusel Kamitonda kontserdimajast ja 31 km kaugusel Hosshinmon Oji pühamust. The house is an old Japanese house, with beautiful and clean design. The team was excellent and professional. The food was like a piece of art.

Located in Shingu, 400 metres from Kamikura Shrine, 長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel has a garden, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. One of our best stays in Japan! The host was extremely nice and spoke English. We arrived earlier than check in and were able to store our belongings in the temple. We asked the host for restaurant recommendations and he went above and beyond to help us find a place to eat (the ramen restaurant he recommended was very nice). The free alcohol was definitely a plus, we had a lot of fun!
