The shower, toilet etc. were clean. You can sit at the bar and watch the sea and the sunset. A place to relax.

Nesat is close to sandy beaches and small eating places Khmer style mostly. The Barang village has a handfull of little guesthouse/eating places including the Cornerstone which manages the Chateaux and has excellent food, good coffee and friendly people. The place is quite new and the room was fine with a good size bathroom, aircon/fan etc. Outside there are other places to sit and relax. There are music and other events at the village though not the weekend I visited. The road is now very good and was about 2.5hr door to door from Phnom Penh in a car.

Free drinking water and a bar with great music that was frequented by the other 'villagers', who were communicative and inclusive. There's also a volleyball field that sees some action in the late afternoon! Local food and drinks a few km down the road towards the beach. Own transport needed.

The space itself is beautiful and peaceful, and you can feel there’s a clear vision behind it – everything feels calm, thoughtful, and well designed. The breakfast and café offerings are excellent and nicely focused on healthy options. Things like homemade yogurt and the coconut–banana smoothie are not only delicious but also feel genuinely nourishing. It’s the kind of place where you want to sit a little longer, enjoy your coffee, and come back again. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I wish I could have stayed longer!
