Offering a garden and quiet street view, The Woodnest is located in Arugam Bay, 200 metres from Arugam Bay Beach and 3.8 km from Muhudu Maha Viharaya. Nice remodelled property, rooms were clean, ac worked great, plenty of space. The location is great for walking to the main break as well as restaurants nearby. If you need anything (tuktuk/scooter rental, taxi etc) the owners are very happy to help coordinate. The owners are very kind and happy to include you in their local card/board games! Would recommend 👍

Situated within 100 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 3.2 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Tropicana Home Stay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Arugam Bay. We stayed three wonderful nights in Tropicana Home Stay. We have traveled around Sri Lanka and stayed in many hotels and guesthouses. This is one of the nicest and cleanest rooms we have had. Also with excellent Internet. It is a small family owned guesthouse with a small supermarket right next doors. The family feeling makes it very cost and accomodating. The owner cocked us a barbecue on our last evening. We can highly recommend this home stay.

With lake views, Gal Oya Lake Club is situated in Paraganakele and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, sun terrace and year-round outdoor pool. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka and we would rebook a trip to the country just to stay here all week. The masseuse was brilliant and really good value. All of the staff were lovely particularly the older gentleman who had clearly worked in high end hotels and was so attentive and could not have done more for us during our time.

Lovely stay run by a very kind couple. Room had everything we needed, comfy bed, fridge and good ac! Kitchen was really well equipped also. Right by the beach and on the main road, ideal location! They also have a sweet little cat who you’ll see running around :) Would definitely recommend!!

Beachfront Location: Whisky Point Resort in Arugam Bay offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access. Guests enjoy sea views and a serene garden setting. Everything was perfect. Very friendly staff, the bungalows are very beautiful, clean and stylish, nice beach, very good italian food - we can absolutly recommend that place :)

Located in Arugam Bay, within 60 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 3.1 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Lucky Bay provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests... We loved our stay at Lucky Bay - so much so we extended for a couple more nights. Perfect location for the beach and restaurants. Mohammed is a wonderful, genuine, host who goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy and check if you need anything. He kindly brought us homemade cake each day, arranged surf lessons, changed money etc - nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend Lucky Bay if you come to Arugam Bay.

Located in Arugam Bay, a few steps from Pottuvil Point Beach, Blue Waters provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Set in Arugam Bay, 300 metres from Pasarichenai Beach, Stay Golden offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Very nice, place, about 10 minutes walk from the center of Arugam Bay, but they provide free bicycles, so it’s relatively easy to get there. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is filling enough and they provide free yoga sessions every day and also surfing lessons (cost is similar to that in the city).

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Ampara. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Very helpful with sorting hiking guides :).
