We we're stuck in Matale during the storm and we were able to stay here last minute. The host helped us to find transport the next day by going into town multiple times because there was no electricity and connection because of the storm. Room is also big with a nice view.

This beautifully restored old tea manor is peaceful, spotless, and full of charm. We loved wandering through the gardens where every plant is explained, and the whole place feels truly special and personal. The team made our stay unforgettable a huge thank you to Chef Dilshan for the most amazing meals of our trip (especially the rice & curry), and to Dinuka and Lakmal, who looked after us with such warmth and professionalism. We also enjoyed a wonderful private garden tour and a fantastic day trip to the Knuckles Mountains with Bandar, arranged by the hotel. If you want a place that’s authentic, quiet, beautifully renovated and full of heart don’t miss Coldagh Manor. It’s a true hidden gem and deserves to be fully booked.

To put it simply this is probably the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. The view is magical, the staff is welcoming and so helpful and the food is delicious. The owner, Supun, will take you around visiting the highlights of the area. He's a friendly and knowledgeable person that is always there to help. Highly highly recommended! You will regret leaving!

Situated in Rangala, 18 km from Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Ferndale Retreat Knuckles features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. These guys really worked hard for their guests. Trekking was great. They drove many kilometers through rough roads to return my kindle to me which I left in room. A fantastic ecolodge. Must visit.

Additionally, the view from the place was incredibly interesting. We were treated to vistas of mountains, paddy fields, and pristine natural environments. It truly felt like a natural and green heaven, offering a serene and calming atmosphere. Staying here felt like a form of meditation, enhancing the relaxation and rejuvenation of our vacation. It's a superb place. Really calming and beautiful environment. It was built in a totally different concept than other accommodations I stayed. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Has all the facilities tv,wifi kitchen and etc. I mostly like the concept and beautiful environment it was build on. And uncle and aunty who look after the place are really nice and i have great respect for their superb hospitality. They treated us like family unlike guests.
