We like the people, especially the manager Inbaraj, who is a great and kind man. He showed us the cinnamon plantations and explained how everything is used, he was so kind. We liked the dinner, the best chicken curry we tried so far in Sri Lanka, also there was a desert, we liked a lot. The room was clean, sanitized, everything was great, the view from our room was great. Mr. Inbaraj also treat us with the best papaya juice, coffee and the plantation harvests. We are so grateful and happy that we choose this place for our stay in Yala. The place is also near the Yala park, which was great as well.

The property is very beautiful, set in a lovely garden overlooking the lake. The room is very spacious and very clean, both the bedroom and the bathroom. Breakfast is plentiful and very good, served on the wooden porch. But above is the homeowner who are incredibly kind and special!!!!! Absolutely advised

From the moment I arrived, Dulaj, Chamith and Anu were incredibly hospitable and made me feel very welcome as a solo guest. They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.

Set in Wellawaya, VR Nature Cottage CABANA offers accommodation with a garden, free WiFi, room service, and a 24-hour front desk. This lodge provides free private parking and babysitting service. Located close to the Buduruwagala rock carvings and Diyaluma waterfall. Shalika and his family were extremely warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. All fresh ingredients grown by themselves. If you're looking for a real Sri Lankan family experience this place is perfect. Also Shalika drove us to our next destination, the beautiful mountain town of Ella.

We had the most wonderful stay in Redstone cottage. It was by far our favourite hotel in our 3 week trip around Sri Lanka. The staff anticipated our every need, the chef cooked food we loved and every meal was a highlight. Sydney has made a little slice of paradise. The jungle on the doorstop, birds and wildlife really made this stay stand out. The staff are employed from a recently displaced tribe and syndey is passionate about the local area and the people. This really stands out. Anuradha was our guide throughout and his knowledge was next level. He took us up monkey mountain, around the local reservoir and on all our safaris. His wildlife and plant knowledge as well as his calm and likeable character made the whole stay magical. We would stay again in a heartbeat and if you are thinking of booking don't hesitate.

The host and his family are super nice and welcoming. He showed us around some beautifull places around the village. The place is full of a wide variety of birds . The food was some amazing home cooked local srilankan cuisine. Perfect place relatively untouched by mass tourism.
