The room was nice, clean and air conditioned with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The brothers that run the place are great and can’t do more for you. The food was fantastic and they also organised a safari for us which was seamless and successful (saw 4 leopards!)

The staff were all brilliant. We really enjoyed the safari organised by the hotel, it was good value and well worth paying a little extra for the guide. Also enjoyed the boat ride on the lake next to the properly.

It was by far our favourite hotel in our 3 week trip around Sri Lanka. The staff anticipated our every need, the chef cooked food we loved and every meal was a highlight. Sydney has made a little slice of paradise. The jungle on the doorstop, birds and wildlife really made this stay stand out. The staff are employed from a recently displaced tribe and syndey is passionate about the local area and the people. This really stands out. Anuradha was our guide throughout and his knowledge was next level. He took us up monkey mountain, around the local reservoir and on all our safaris. His wildlife and plant knowledge as well as his calm and likeable character made the whole stay magical. We would stay again in a heartbeat and if you are thinking of booking don't hesitate.
