It is tastefully designed, every detail is considered, the rooms are clean and Big, the bathroom is finished with all needed and clean and modern (felt quite good to bé again in a level of comfort and cleaness closer to our life back home). The food is good, I particularly Liked the cinnamon tea they served as you arrive. We did the spice trail.on the property very informative. Really a great stay.

They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.

One of the best accommodations in Sri Lanka that we have visited. The people here are very nice. They prepared a great breakfast for us in tasteful accommodations. Everything was very clean. We recommend the safari trip through this accommodation. The safari guide was absolutely amazing. Thanks to his keen eyesight, we saw a lot of animals. Kataragama and this accommodation are definitely suitable for more than one night. I would like to come back here.

Yala Thaman hosts like no other that we have seen so far. In a nice quiet area, you can relax in air conditioned rooms or move over to the dining area and enjoy the climate of Kataragama. In close proximity to Kataragama city we were easily able to access the city and other local attractions through the taxi service that is offered with your room fee. The beautiful family that owns the hotel were always happy to drop everything to help out with anything that you might need. Would recommend 10/10

We had an incredible 3-day stay at Sam's Stay. The hospitality was exceptional. Very nice room, great breakfast and the dinner was exactly what we wanted. Sam's Café is a peaceful oasis overlooking a gorgeous lake. A highlight was the tour of Sam's impressive garden. Big thanks to Sam and his family for everything!
