Very good and clean room! The son of the owner (25) is amazing and played games with us in the evening. We went to the waterfall the day after and he joined us there which was great fun! Helpful people, good breakfast and dinner. Amazing green area.

We like the people, especially the manager Inbaraj, who is a great and kind man. He showed us the cinnamon plantations and explained how everything is used, he was so kind. We liked the dinner, the best chicken curry we tried so far in Sri Lanka, also there was a desert, we liked a lot. The room was clean, sanitized, everything was great, the view from our room was great. Mr. Inbaraj also treat us with the best papaya juice, coffee and the plantation harvests. We are so grateful and happy that we choose this place for our stay in Yala. The place is also near the Yala park, which was great as well.

The hosts were very good and accommodating of all our requests. Room was very big and comfortable, and a great budget stay.

From the moment I arrived, Dulaj, Chamith and Anu were incredibly hospitable and made me feel very welcome as a solo guest. They arranged a great safari, which was one of the highlights of my trip: well organised, smooth, and truly memorable. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and generous, and the conditions of the lodge are superb: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained.

For those who like to travel is a very nice place . Nice nature , fresh food , breakfast was allright . I was going to another location and couldn't stay any longer , but I wish I could , because that room was very cosy and clean . It's almost new , probably it's been built and assembled maybe a few months ago . As about location - it's countryside , you will not find there the Burj Khalifa , the Eiffel Tower or something like that , but there are woods , lakes and rivers , and good Sri Lankan people . Actually almost all visitors are coming to this area to visit the Buduruwagala Temple , then they can have lunch at "Sam's Caffe" which is very cool , assembled in very simple and cosy ethnic design , with good food , drinks and exellent service . I would recommend this place to everyone who visits Sri Lanka .

The accommodation is beautifully situated right next to rice paddies and surrounded by nature. We received a warm welcome from the family. The entire stay felt like being guests of friends. The typical Sri Lankan cuisine and the direct interaction with the host family were a special experience. Thank you so much!

We had the most wonderful stay in Redstone cottage. It was by far our favourite hotel in our 3 week trip around Sri Lanka. The staff anticipated our every need, the chef cooked food we loved and every meal was a highlight. Sydney has made a little slice of paradise. The jungle on the doorstop, birds and wildlife really made this stay stand out. The staff are employed from a recently displaced tribe and syndey is passionate about the local area and the people. This really stands out. Anuradha was our guide throughout and his knowledge was next level. He took us up monkey mountain, around the local reservoir and on all our safaris. His wildlife and plant knowledge as well as his calm and likeable character made the whole stay magical. We would stay again in a heartbeat and if you are thinking of booking don't hesitate.
