We had a truly wonderful stay at The Strand which is a rare place that feels like a living piece of history while still offering every modern comfort. The service was outstanding throughout — especially the café team and Nai Min Tho, who were incredibly attentive to our vegan and vegetarian needs. We also loved spending time at the Sarkies Bar, where the cocktails and atmosphere were excellent. Also the Reception team Pwint, Myat and Hana were very attentive. And everywhere we felt pampered and very well taken care of. We travel a lot, but this stay was a real highlight, and we would wholeheartedly recommend The Strand to anyone visiting Yangon.

My room was large with necessary facilities like fridge, microwave, laundry machine. Water was refillable at the Lift area The bed was very comfortable Unfortunately I didn't take a dive in the pool...which looked so clean and pristine. The receptionist, Htet as well, Phyo, the manager were very helpful. The receptionist assisted me in making telephone calls to my spa...as I didn't have a local Simcard, neither could I speak Burmese. The lady manager also allowed my late checkout. My appreciation to the nice room service guys from the bar. All in all, everyone was friendly and great in their service.
