He had been recommended by a friend and his approach exceeded all our expectations. He went out of his way to help with our public transport arrangements to and from the property. It's lovely accommodation with a large bed, good bathroom and in pleasant surroundings. The food, cooked by Juan's partner Nora, was excellent. It was lovely to share the house veranda with the family after a large supper following our canyon trip. There are also friendly dogs, a cat, and contented hens to entertain you! Juan greets everyone he passes and that's a sign of his friendly disposition. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We were only staying for a night before we crossed the Nicaraguan border but it was an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay after a long day of travelling. We had to leave before breakfast started to catch our bus, but the staff realised this when we checked in and asked for help with transportation the following day and were kind enough to prepare us food the following morning earlier than 7 so that we had a meal before we left! Highly recommend
