From the moment we arrived at Hostal San José, we were greeted by three adorable dogs who welcomed us with pure canine love every time we came and went. They truly set the tone for the warmth and care that surrounds this special place. Emir is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. His breakfasts are absolutely fantastic - delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and the perfect way to start each day. But what impressed us most was his genuine willingness to do everything possible (and seemingly impossible!) to ensure our comfort and happiness. He even allowed us to use his personal refrigerator, which was incredibly helpful and just one example of how he treats guests like family rather than customers. The entire hostal is surrounded by an atmosphere of care and coziness that makes you never want to leave. We genuinely enjoyed every single minute of our stay. If you're looking for authentic hospitality, a comfortable place to rest, and a host who truly cares about your experience, Hostal San José is the perfect choice. Right in Somoto canyon and the nature is amazing. Breakfast was a super good, a typical Nicaraguan breakfast. The staff was so friendly and took care of us super well!
