Hotel 1904 is a boutique hotel situated in the centre of Ålesund. Built in 1904, the Art Noveau-style hotel has been welcoming guests for over 100 years as Ålesund’s oldest hotel. The hotel occupies one of the most beautiful Art Noveaus buildings in Ålesund and is very well maintained. The staff is very kind, helpful, and smiley. The room was spacious, beautiful, and really comfy (loved the bed and pillows,great shower). Breakfast had a good variety of options and is served in a pleasant space. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and the food was delicious and had a fair price (considering Norway prices). The location is the best in Ålesund, located in the most beautiful street of the town, in my opinion. A great experience for those who are interested in architecture.

The house is really nicely furnished and well equipped with everything you need. The lounge and bed were both very comfortable and there’s nice views from the deck. Ideally you would have a car as it’s a little way to the centre of town. Highly recommended!
