Fantastisk värd, otroligt mån om att vi skulle ha en fin vistelse. De enklaste för matlagning fanns, som salt, olja, lite kryddor mm. Fantastiskt goda ägg från värdens egna höns och vaktlar, lite snacks och choklad som extra treat var riktigt plus, samt sällskapsspel. Rent och fräscht. Mataffär/litet shopping center runt hörnet.

Gårdsopphold Notodden har utsikt över trädgården och erbjuder boende med en uteplats och kaffemaskin, 27 km från Bø Sommarland. Wonderful place in a rural setting. Very quiet, large rooms and well equipped with all you can think of.

Gaustatoppen Lodge - Mountain View - Gaustablikk ligger i Rjukan i Telemark och har en balkong och utsikt över bergen. Väldigt fint och fräscht! Bra med ski in ski out. Lyxigt med varmgarage!

Tuddal Høyfjellshotel ligger i Tuddal, 12 km från Gaustatoppen, och erbjuder boende med ett fitnesscenter, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en terrass. We loved absolutely everything about this gem of a property: the location in a stunning natural environment, the adorable staff, the unique history and decor of the hotel full of collectible and heirloom furniture and, of course the wonderful dinner. Food certainly was a highlight as this is generally where Norway fails to impress us. We were served a fresh, creative, and delicious dinner in the beautiful dining room overlooking the fjell. The chef even adjusted the menu for the vegetarians among us, creating genuine new dishes for us. Wow! Again, that was unexpected as eating veg in Norway is often a challenge. Everything felt authentic and personal in this independently-run property. Dinner starts with a presentation of the history of the place by the owner, their struggles during Covid and how they overcame them. Charmingly, this introduction included the reading of a poem (sadly we don’t understand Norwegian so had to rely on the translation of the presentation afterwards). Every effort is made to be sustainable : There’s a vegetable garden, the delicious bread is baked on the premisses (we took a box of the amazing Flatbrød with us) and the lovely shop sells some local cheese, honey and other specialties including, this being Norway, sweets :) We are already dreaming of a next stay to the Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to experience more of its magic and of the stunning nature around it as our stay this time was way too short. Note to the owners: stay as you are, you are a genuine gem and the world needs more places like yours. Thank you for everything!

Nutheim Gjestgiveri ligger i Flatdal, 43 km från Heddals stavkyrka, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Mycket god frukost med stort urval av olika pålägg. Saknade möjligen gröt och en mindre besk apelsinjuice.
