It was clean and clutter free when we arrived. The kitchen had good counter space and the basic dishes and cutlery. The bed was very comfortable and all the windows had shades so it was dark until the sun was well up. The bathroom is small but has shelves to hold toiletries. The view is beautiful!

The lodge is huge and totally private on top of a hill overlooking the valley and the waterfalls. The hosts Candy & Rawiri went out of their way to show us around the property, including a creek nearby where you can spot the glowworms at night. It’s a gravel road driving to property from Opononi but it’s well maintained and suitable for 2WD. Spend at least a couple of nights there, you won’t be disappointed!

'Noni's House' Coastal Opononi Hokianga tiene vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Está en Opononi, a 19 min a pie de Koutu Boulders Beach. Host was friendly. Accommodations were nice. Better than any commercial options in the area. Great value.

Oak Lodge, que tiene vistas al jardín, dispone de alojamiento con jardín y patio a unos 49 km de Kemp House and Stone Store. The cabin was perfect for our visit exploring the Northland. We went in a different direction each day and returned to the serene cottage setting surrounded by flowerbeds and fields. The cottage itself was very clean, nicely decorated and appointed with everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Gordon, the owner, lives next door and checked in with us to be sure we had everthing we needed. We highly recommend a stay at Oak Lodge. We will definately stay again during our next visit north.
