The location - literally minutes walk from town but on a island surrounded by park, so it's dead silent and you look out to trees and river. It's the ideal spot for a hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful too and Tomar itself is a lovely town, enough to see and explore but not overrun by tourists.

Sonia and Jonah were amazing hosts. We had a terrific stay at the Vila. They took time to welcome us, to provide us with useful information about how to get around, where you eat and what to do. Our room was very comfortable even though it was not the biggest. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. There was even a make-up mirror. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Even for my wife who is wheat and dairy allergic. Many alternatives were available. The light in the room was very pleasant because it was not the usual white blinding light. Our room was overlooking a small garden and next to the breakfast room there was another bigger garden. The Vila is located only 10 minutes away by walking distance from the town center. By the way, Coimbra is a very lovely student town that we highly recommend to visit as much as to stay at Vila Julieta.

Situated 500 metres from Monastery of Alcobaca, Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel offers 5-star accommodation in Alcobaça and has a bar. Very nice breakfast, great location.

Situated in Manteigas, 16 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela, Vila Galé Collection Serra da Estrela features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Nice hotel. Great price performance ratio. Excellent, helpfull staff. Buffet (breakfast and dinner) recommendable.

Casa dos Ofícios is located in the center of Tomar close to a large parking garage and not far from the Convento de Cristo. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke very good English. The WiFi was perfect.
