Spotlessly clean house which was both pleasantly modern but still with character. Great location - just far enough outside the historic centre not to be touristy but still an easy walk (even walking back up the hill after a big dinner in the centre). Delicious breakfast. Super helpful and knowledgeable owners who gave excellent restaurant recommendations.

The room was exceptionally comfortable with a great bed. The staff were brilliant. The breakfast was lovely. Great location and great concept.

Hotel República Boutique Hotel has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Tomar. Each accommodation at the 5-star hotel has city views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot tub. From the moment we arrived at Hotel Republica we felt welcomed despite being hot and dishevelled from a big day of hiking. This was one of the most friendly receptions we have had during our two weeks in Portugal. Nothing was too much trouble, including room service provided early from the Restaurant Menu when the All Day Menu was not available. We requested an extra night and again, no problem at all. Breakfast options at the restaurant were exceptional and the service, equally as good. The coffee machine in the room was awesome, the beds luxurious and the bathroom stylish and clean. The minibar was well stocked and an abundance of room snacks were available.

The location was beautiful with mountain views. All the staff was very helpful and exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was worth it- complete and varied. In overall, I enjoy my stay. This has been THE loveliest holiday experience: from the legacy of the place, that is so beautifully shared and continued by Luis (the host and great-grandson of the original property owner), to the meticulous attention to detail and beautiful design in every corner, with complementary fresh fruit, cake and house liquor, sparkling clean rooms, a simply perfect breakfast in the scenic courtyard (including fresh eggs from their own chicken), all the way to the brilliant recommendations for restaurants, fado concert, parking tricks to visit the old town and more… Simple fresh dishes and drinks (with fridge self-service) are available all day.
