Easy to grab a boat ride or arrange visits to quintas in the area. Staff work around the clock to make the place comfortable and accomodating. The food is great. Can't recommend it enough!

It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Visiting the Douro region I found the best thing to do is to stay here. You will experience everything Douro region has to offer! Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! Leisure options at the Lamego Hotel & Life. Those who would like to stay active can take a walk in the quiet garden. Excellent service since I arrived at the hotel. They upgraded me to a larger and very comfortable room. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the meal was excellent. The breakfast is also very good. The spa area is very pleasant, as is the gym, which has good weight training machines. The only thing missing in the gym is a mirror in the workout area. I will definitely return.
