The view, the garden, and the swimming facilities. We swam in the heated pool and jacuzzi in the evening and in the morning and it was perfect. The breakfast was really delicious and generous. The staff were friendly and the facilities were immaculate. We liked everything.

We had an incredible experience and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.

Octant Duoro is an exceptional hotel from the truly amazing architecture and exquisite decor to the extremely attentive staff and delicious food. Lourenco was exceptionally helpful organising a wonderful excursion to the gorgeous vineyard of Quinta da Aveleda followed by a wonderful lunch at Casa da Viuva wine bar. Our time here was magical and included a magnificent boat cruise along the Duoro River.

It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. For me, 10 is too low score for this property. This is one of those places where you want to come back. You don’t feel like guest, but returning friend. It’s old building with modern facilities, everything what you can expect from hotel. What makes difference is dinner, go for it. It’s cooked with passion and accompanied by local wine(s). You meet everyone who is there - place isn’t big, just 8 rooms. You mingle, get to know new people and enjoy atmosphere. And food is delicious, and not same every day according to those who spent few nights there.
