Our cottage was perfect, with a roaring fire to welcome us after a delicious meal prepared by a talented chef who uses local, fresh ingredients to make wholesome gourmet meals accompanied by a selection of fine wines. The planned activities from which to choose are world class – top of the list is Gorilla trekking, which was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We had the opportunity to canoe on pristine lakes, visit community groups working with artisans and really experience life in Rwanda’s northern region. The Diane Fossey Campus is literally right around the corner and well worth the visit. We were made to feel at home in this top-notch facility, with our every need catered to – massages in room, fresh local flowers from the luscious gardens, and the best turn-down service ever. But truly the Sambora family made the stay extra special for us.

I would like to sincerely thank Dan and Sarah, who went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made me feel very welcome and well accommodated. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall environment was calm and enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and professional. I highly recommend Uragano Virunga Palace to anyone visiting Musanze or Volcanoes National Park. I will definitely be happy to stay here again.
