Whilst you are of course not in the Khao Yai national park, you are very close to nature with squirrels, birds, and even a guest appearance from a monkey is not unheard of. At the same time, you are within walking distance to the town center where there are street markets and lots of shops and restaurants. There is also a really cool themed restaurant on the river that is popular with the locals just a 2-minute walk away called 'Banmai Chaynam' which has loads of shabby-chic memorabilia and definitely worth a visit. The breakfast is great, but the best thing of all is how amazing the staff are, especially Eh who looked after us from the moment we arrived. There is written information about all the things you can do in Khao Yai and around the national park, but it's also nice to hear great advice from a person and I couldn't say enough nice things about this family run establishment. We are really grateful for such a wonderful and peaceful stay.
