The proximity to the beach, the staff were incredible especially the General manager Mahmood and Ally on reception. All round the staff were alway smiling always helpful and kind. Mahmood was a manager who went above and beyond he helped to even fix my phone. The place was always immaculate and what I loved most that the staff were like family each one looking out for each other and treating the hotel as their own home making sure every detail small or large was covered. Access to the manager and staff was readily available 24 hours a day and Mohammed at the excursion desk was fabulous helping every customer with kindness, efficiency and great prices. But for me Mahmood was a manager that made everything easy and comfortable for a wonderful holiday. They cater for couples, families with young or older children, plenty of activities like table tennis, volleyball ball, pool , darts , football and a gymnasium I can assure you I will be returning to this hotel with my children the next time we fly to Zanzibar.

Älskade min vistelse där, alla var så trevlig och det kändes som hemma. Maten var bra och alla aktiviteter under middagen var så bra. Dorakas var så hjälpsam med allt. Personalen tog så bra hand om oss. Är så tacksam över min vistelse där och min resa till Zanzibar kunde inte har varit bättre.

Babalao Bungalows ligger i Nungwi och har en utomhuspool, en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Väldigt trevligt bemötande! Kändes väldigt tryggt och personalen var väldigt hjälpsam!

Ananda Beach Hotel ligger en kort bit från Paje Beach och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, en trädgård och en egen strand samt restaurang. Det finns gratis WiFii alla utrymmen. Great experience in a truly magical place, right on the shores of the Indian Ocean. It’s hard to leave this place not only for the location but most of all for its people: everyone at the hotel was friendly, service oriented and always out to make my stay as perfect and blissful as possible. From Said and Shedrack at reception, to the reservations team accommodating me last minute, to the restaurant staff and the hotel management and Kite team. Leaving with a full heart and will be back here on my next trip to Paje.

We had an amazing experience at the resort. Our room was huge, nicely furnished and with amazing views of the pool and beach. The facility was very clean and staff were very helpful. It is amazing that the resort has a clinic on site and a doctor was able to see me very quickly when I felt unwell. The buffet selections are good. The hotel location is good in relation to ATM machines, grocery stores and other places.

There are some places you stay at, and then there are places that stay with you. For me, Hostel 197 was exactly that kind of place. From the moment I arrived, the welcome felt genuine—warm smiles, calm energy, and a feeling that you’re not just another booking number. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. After long beach days in Nungwi, coming back here felt like returning home, not just to a hostel. The food deserves a special mention—simple, fresh, and made with care. Breakfast by the pool, with the Zanzibar breeze and sunlight filtering through, was one of those slow-life moments you wish you could pause. What truly elevates Hostel 197, though, are the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and well-trained always attentive without being intrusive. And then there’s the owner, Johnny. A genuinely charming man with a constant, easy smile. He goes out of his way to make sure every guest feels comfortable, accommodating requests as if hosting friends rather than customers. The poolside hostel beds are surprisingly comfortable, the vibe is relaxed yet lively, and the overall experience delivers way more than the price suggests. In a place like Nungwi where beauty is everywhere Hostel 197 adds something deeper: warmth, care, and authenticity. If you’re traveling to Zanzibar and looking for a place that blends comfort, community, and value effortlessly this is it. Some stays are temporary. This one feels memorable.

Compass Hostel i Nungwi erbjuder boende endast för vuxna med en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. I had a great experıence .the place was clean ,comfortable, Hot water and enough pressure , beds are large enough , separate beds and each bed has curtaıns ,clean toılet , the hostel ıs closed to the beach and staff are very kındly and helpfull , samson the young great manager , salama and kerbına are very frıendly as well as securıty guys . Hıghly recommended .

Whenever we requested cleaning, it was handled immediately. Breakfast was fresh and open buffet. The friendliness of the staff made our holiday even better.
