Guests do share a bit of space with the family, but the compound is spacious with several relaxation areas for guests. Summer has created great suggestions for restaraunts and walking or cycling tours. She can book boat tours. She kindly books onward transport. Summer is engaging and full of interesting information about the city, region, and Vietnam. The homestay is located in a peaceful neighborhood away from the busy city center. It is a nice but slightly walk to the city center, or one could take a taxi.

If you are looking for beautiful nature, authentic experience, amazing home cooked meals and the sweetest Vietnamese family then you absolutely do not want to miss Ecoco homestay. Staying there was a highlight of our one month Vietnam trip! We will never forget our day out on the Mekong river on the boat trip with Amy and her relatives - what an adventure! We also loved participating in making dinner, playing with the two adorable sons in the house and making handicrafts from coconuts. As we were a family of four (age of children 8 and 11) we stayed in two Leaf rooms (wooden bungalows) next to each other and found them comfortable and cozy. The family made the bungalows themselves. While staying you definitely do not want to miss buying Amy’s wonderful cook book which she wrote for her sons. You can also buy a lot of wonderful handicrafts made from her sweet extended family. The hosts are so nice! Even if not everyone speaks English, you can communicate with everyone. The dinner at the accommodation is excellent, the rooms are very clean. The perfect pool for relaxation. We could try a lot of different local snacks. I definitely recommend this for a few days of authentic southern Vietnam.

We had a wonderful stay surrounded by coconut trees at this homestay. We truly appreciated the generosity, the constant smiles, and the warm welcome we received from the host and his family. The host proposed a tour to visit Ben Tre, which was very well organized and a great experience. The little extra that really made our stay special was his kindness: he personally drove us to the bus station in his car and even prepared delicious banh mi for us while taking his children to school. We were deeply touched by the generosity and hospitality, and we would gladly come back again.

I've never slept as well as I did here. The staff is attentive and excellent. A highly recommended place to relax. You can take the Mekong tour here; the guide is a true professional.

We were hesitant to book this initially due to remoteness and mosquitoes but the area was beautiful and different and far less mosquitoes than originally anticipated.
