Fishermen’s Cottage is comfortable and full of interest, themed around the cottage name. It is within walking distance of local attractions, restaurants and very good shops. There are two well-equipped terrace areas up some steps behind the steeply-sloping location and the views were worth the climb. The unusual layout comprised a ground floor lounge and (windowless due to being built into a hillside) bedroom with en suite shower/wc. Upstairs is the second bedroom, a separate bathroom and a very well equipped kitchen-diner (including a washing machine) and the back door leading to the steps to the terraces high above the house. The darkness of this traditional cottage built into a hillside is compensated for by various contemporary light fittings. There is a log burner (extra charge for logs or BYO) but we found that a one hour boost on the heater control was plenty and suspect we might have been far too hot with the fire lit. Looks lovely for a really cosy winter’s night though. Although there is no parking at the cottage, at the bottom of the hill is the main road between the town and pier with plenty of free parking. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay.

Lovely set up inside. Easy to find. Helpful and friendly host. Snacks and alcohol available. Sky TV and fast internet were a great bonus. Heating worked fine, and shower was great. Bed was comfy. Modern interior looked great. Very fairly priced.

Cosy place, lovely log burner, comfy bed. good wi-fi, sky tv including sports channels. Good location for mumbles (easy-ish walk. but we got the bus (close to the loft)). Great location for exploring the Gower area. We found a superb brassiere in Langford bay (2 minute walk)

Seconds from the promenade and in the heart of mumbles near the shops but set back so you don't get everyone passing your windows. The beds were really comfortable and the house was immaculately clean. The carpets looked brand new. Most houses on the street are lived in by locals who were very friendly.
