The setting and ambience was wonderful. Helpful friendly staff at checkin and explantation of the area and places to eat and see. The breakfast each day was plentiful and even catered for people with allergies. Our apartment was so beautiful and spacious. Better than the photos.

Every morning for breakfast there was a vast array of cereals (an amazing number of varieties!) with yoghurt, fruit and sometimes croissants along with a number of Italian sweet treats to sample. Sabrina's lovely colleagues were on hand to make us fresh coffee to enjoy with our breakfast. Our host, Sabrina, was always happy to make our stay better including setting us up in the tasting room with the TV to watch the Rugby World Cup final when the TV in our apartment didn't have that channel. The setting is tranquil and relaxing and was a pleasure to return to each evening after our adventures in Umbria. And Astrid, her dog, is a delight!

- Within town walls (central square) - super clean - super friendly staff. They even helped with my car battery going awol. - very close to major activities in Castiglione - good breakfast - mosquito nets at the windows - even if it's close to restaurants you don't ear much noise at night. - they don't have a cot for a baby but you can ask if you really need it (we managed without as we switched hotel every 2 nights)

Beyond perfect! To begin with we arrived late and checked out late and the owners were very patient with us. I thought I booked a room with two beds, but it was actually and apartment on 2 floors. The table was set for breakfast the next morning and the flat was stocked with snacks and drinks. Outside of the room, there is a common kitchen and cozy sitting area. Breakfast was served to us in the room which was a real treat. The B&B is actually inside the fortress and parking was easily available just outside of the fortress entrance. Very nice cafes and restaurants just minutes away!
