Such a cozy, homey vacation home. Flooded with light, with an eye for detail, charmingly warm decor, pure idyll, a dreamlike view of the fjord, heartwarming—the sun shines through a different window at every hour of the day, soothing, lounging around, cooking together, family life, talking, laughing—just right, a perfect blend—take a deep breath, close your eyes, and soak up the moments. And then there’s RUNAR, such a kind and attentive host—it’s hard to imagine anything better. For us, it was a wonderful setting for our son Niklas Friedrich’s birthday; he’ll be studying physics for a semester abroad at the University of Trondheim in the fall of 2026. We were able to celebrate here with the whole family, and we’d like to say a big thank you for this precious time.

Located in Råkvåg, less than 1 km from Bryggene I Råkvåg and 44 km from Austrått Fort, The Boathouse provides a restaurant and sea views.
