It isn't a hotel, motel or hostel, which really surprised us. Our hosts were very friendly and so helpful, even though we were a little difficult at times. 2 bedrooms and a spare day bed in theiving room, private well equipped kitchen and private bathroom with a washing machine.

You feel at home there, but only much more exclusive…..

Handy location to connect from Trondheim airport to onward train journey to Koppera as hotel in Hell was within walking distance of station and airport. Only problem was we walked to airport train station instead of Hell station - rooky mistake! Hell station was then a 10 mins run with husky gear and snow suits in the opposite direction!!
Curiosity location owing to name. Easy access to airport and nearby city of Trondheim. Provision of extensive and free of charge shuttle bus service to motor racing event was a brilliant co operative initiative between the event hosts and the local authorities.
This was just a stop over for us, great to be walking distance from the airport. Was convenient to have a small mall across the street to pick up food for our trip but we never did have a chance to see the immediate area. I would advise if going into Trondheim to take a bus from the airport, worth the money and they run frequently all day.
Very convenient for the airport. Friendly staff who spoke English well. Facilities were adequate for a 1 night stay though the bed was very hard and the room was too warm. Breakfast was included in the price and was fantastic. Booking early gave us a really good price - about £60 for 2 people including breakfast.
A 5 minute walk from the train station or Trondheim airport to the Scandic Hell. Clean modern light spacious and comfortable with very helpful staff. Superb breakfast with an immense variety of choices; I have become addicted to brown cheese on pancakes. Walk off that breakfast with a stroll over the wide clean river via the bridge to the village of Hell (Hollywood style "HELL" sign up on the mountainside) look for the 'Helfie' marker on the handrail of the bridge; the perfect spot for a selfie with the HELL sign. Stroll on into the village to the old station with its perfectly preserved yellow wooden station buildings for another Hell selfie. You might even spot one of the last public telephone kiosks in Norway, this one preserved for historic interest now that mobile phones have made this facility redundant.The stationmaster is more involved with freight wagon and carriage movements now that the new passenger station is attached to the airport but he is a lovely friendly guy with a warm smile
