We were kindly upgraded to the Casa Escola villa, which offered a breathtaking view over the Douro Valley—truly picture-perfect. We booked both a wine tasting and a boat tour through the property, and both experiences were exceptional. The wine tasting was intimate and informative, while the boat tour was a relaxing and scenic way to take in the surroundings. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, spacious, and perfect for a restful escape. One of the highlights was using the outdoor barbecue oven—we arranged a barbecue evening and were impressed by the quality of the meat and the fun of grilling in such a picturesque setting. Another major plus: the property is pet-friendly, which made our trip all the more special. Upon checkout, the staff even recommended a local winery and helped us secure a last-minute booking, which turned out to be a fantastic visit. Two nights felt far too short—I’m already looking forward to coming back, both as a couple and again with my family. Highly recommended!
