Totally amazing place to stay! Highly recommended. First of all, it is only 7 mins walk from the ancient city of pangyao. It is also so nearby the railway station. You can go by DIDI or bus, both are so convenient. Second, the decor of the place is AMAZING! I couldn’t help take pictures and video when i first came it. They even have a swing and glass-fish! The staff are so friendly and nice people. The Owner gave me water when i first came and when i left. Whenever i ask for anything she always helps. They have bar and food there with nice prices. I didn’t eat there but saw the food, it looked so delicious. The rooms were also amazing, it is two levels bed and mine was the one above. Surprisingly, it was so comfortable too. When i move it doesn’t vibrate into the bottom bed. The toilet is clean and they have shower gel, hair shampoo, small towel, and toothbrush with toothpaste ready for you to use. The air conditioner works fine and the wi-fi is connected from my room.

I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

Hiljuti renoveeritud külalistemaja Pingyao Moonlight Guesthouse asub Pingyaos, 700 meetri kaugusel Ji vanast residentsist. Külalistemajas on aed, mugavad helikindlad toad ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Our stay was perfect. The owner and his daughter did everything to make us feel at home. The place was really beautiful, our room was cozy and warm. They cooked us breakfast even if we had to leave early in the morning. They were so kind to take us to the train station. If you come to Pingyao this is the perfect place to stay!

Shanxi Merchant Mansion asub ideaalses paigas Pingyao iidses linnapiirkonnas Pingyaos. The rooms are comfortable, modern, stylish, and spacious. I was worried that these old buildings were not properly heated for the winter days, but it was so warm and toasty when I arrived that I had to dial down the heaters. The food is delicious. And the staff is so warm and thoughtful. They gave my twins, who had their birthday on the day we checked in, small birthday cakes which made their day! And because we had to catch a really early train (it was still dark outside), the kitchen staff packed us some food to take on the way. My kids said out of all the cities we went to, they loved this hotel the most.

Yunchengis asuv Yuncheng Yunxi Furusato-Banma Resort on Yunchengi põhjaraudteejaamast 26 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on välibassein, tasuta eraparkla, spordikeskus ja aed. Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

Aia, ühise puhkeruumi, restorani ja baariga majutusasutus Elsewhere Hotel Inn North Street Branch asub Pingyaos. The location is really nice, in the old city. The staff was amazing, very helpful and nice, made us feel at home. The room was clean and confortable. Breakfast was also good, american style.

The host is incredible, going out of her way to make certain guests are cared for. She helped us know where to visit in the expansive area is Wutai mountain. When we had trouble with entrance into the resort area, she came to the front to help us work through the registration difficulties; we asked about seeing a sun rise and she arranged a trip the took us to a gorgeous pilgrimage site; she arranged a shuttle service that took us directly to the airport for a lower cost than bus service and taking 3 hours less time - really a remarkable host. Meanwhile she’s also hosting other guests and running the restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and adorable with a beautiful tea table set in a window. The room was always ready with water, snacks and tea. Staying at this location allowed us to enjoy the area of Wutai mountain to the fullest extent possible.

The owner was very accomoding and came to pick me up as I was lost trying to find the place. The room in itself was very pretty, it felt like going back in time!
