Ideally set in Cartagena de Indias, Hotel Casona del Porvenir features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. Being a very frequent traveller I do not manage to write reviews anymore, unless there is a very special experience (in either way of the satisfaction direction). The stay at Casona del Porvenir was definitely such, which stands out and will be remembered for a long time! I could even say that this might have been one of the best hotels, I have ever stayed at. The whole positive experience begins with the moment of booking, since which the hotel team makes you feel welcome already. This feeling persists throughout the entire stay. It is not about any specific luxury of the hotel, but about the little details, which matter the most - from the nice little gestures of attentiveness of the staff, through a sense of detail in the design of the place, to a cozy and comfortable feeling throughout the hotel (just to mention the unbelievably friendly inner patio seating spaces with constant fresh fruits refill, the super comfortable bed and pillows, the different lighting ambience, the very efficient (minimalist, but effective) room space creation). In each case, the team responsible for running the hotel know what they are doing. They do it right and deserve all possible respect for it! If there only were more such projects around the world ...

Facing the beachfront, Sofitel Barú Cartagena offers 5-star accommodation in Cartagena de Indias and features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and terrace. The space is amazing. Huge amounts of privacy and difference spaces to enjoy throughout the day. Restaurants and food was truly amazing. Easily some of the best food and service we have ever experienced at a hotel before.

Casona de Colegio in Cartagena de Indias provides accommodation with a garden a terrace, an infinity pool and a bar. Very comfortable large room with great outdoor terrace and private jacuzzi. Coffee machine in the room! Very good cooked breakfast (take your time). Great rooftop shared pool. Very helpful staff.

Set in Cartagena de Indias, a few steps from Bocagrande Beach, Hyatt Regency Cartagena offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, excellent value for money at 550€ for 3 nights. My friends paid substantially more and booked the Regency club rooms (which are undoubtedly better) and access to the club, for which I paid an extra 30€ a day for. The room was on the 18th floor with nice views across the harbour, it was a huge room, spotlessly clean and all the facilities one would expect from a Hyatt. I found the staff to be courteous & professional and all spoke excellent English. The drinks at the pool bar were well priced bearing in mind you are in a 5-star hotel, cheap by most 5-star standards. The only negative is the main pool was closed for renovation, but that is no one's fault, but it could have been mentioned when I confirmed the booking. That aside, an excellent 3 night stay in the wonderful Cartagena

Coral De Fuego Isla Fuerte features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and restaurant in Isla Fuerte. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Very nice huts, clean and comfortable. Beautiful pool and the sea is calm and shallow. The food and staff were great as well.

I loved the concept and I will come back for another memorable and inspiring ocassion.
