Situated in Cachí, 6.6 km from Ujarras Ruins, Hotel Boutique Casona del Cafetal and Lakeside Restaurant features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was idyllic.

Boasting mountain views, Cabañas el Bosque provides accommodation with water sports facilities, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, around 32 km from Ujarras Ruins. Very nice experience. The cabins were not difficult to find and remote enough to have privacy and some quiet. There were towels, indoor bathroom/shower, coffee facilities, and basic cooking supplies in the room which was nice. They even had a microwave and fridge. I was given the choice between a volcano or town view, and I chose the volcano. They had a small parking lot and good breakfast at whatever time you ask for - traditional Costa Rican breakfast. You can pay by card at the property. There were a few short 1km trails, a pool, and a playground available, which would be nice when it's warmer. The host was friendly and each cabin had WiFi, although some of it was a little unstable. I still had 4G data connection, which made it a very nice stay! About 40 min drive to Turrialba. I spoke Spanish with the host - unsure of her English ability.

Set in Turrialba, within 28 km of Ujarras Ruins and 35 km of Jardin Botanico Lankester, Sakura Haus offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. New, comfy apartment. Good location, private parking, everything you need :) Very warm welcome by the host. If you like Costa Rican breakfast, you should visit Soda La 18 nearby.

Located in Santa María, 39 km from Cerro de la Muerte, Cabinas Las Veraneras - Dota provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. What an absolute dream of a find! We were in a pinch after a last minute cancellation by another owner. Las Veraneras took us in short notice and provided amazing service. We were blown away by the attentiveness of this family-run hotel. Spacious rooms, secure, clean, and friendly staff. This is a new business and, as frequenters of this beautiful little town, we were so impressed and cannot wait to return!

Boasting mountain views, Hospedaje Jac Cabaña de Campo features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 12 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester. Super nice location, very special, large windows to see outside but no one can see inside (but unlikely anyway that someone would come).

Situated in Turrialba, 23 km from Ujarras Ruins and 30 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Casa Money offers an open-air bath and air conditioning. We loved the balcony, the peace you experience at the place, the beautiful bathtub with a wonderful view!!

Country house with an incredible view to the city, a property with a garden, is situated in Cartago, 21 km from Ujarras Ruins, 24 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park, as well as 25 km from Estadio... If I could rate this place higher than a 10, I would. Gorgeous views, clean and quaint lodging with plenty of room to spread out for a family of four, with just the right amount of amenities and an incredibly kind and helpful caretaker on site who makes himself available for anything needed; from restaurant suggestions to how to open/close the gate to a private chicken coop tour. :) Francisco was a true joy to meet. This site is full of little wonderful surprises. On our too short of a stay we found a cute personalized welcome message board, squeezed in a soccer game on our own field with goals!, enjoyed an unexpected mini-view of the volcano (thanks to Francisco), and found fresh eggs in our kitchen from Francisco’s own chickens! We wish we could have partaken in the ‘Be a Farmer for a Day’ activity offered. It was all lovely and magical, but hands down the best part of this place are the caretaker and host. When I was horrified to discover we had accidentally left the premises with the tv remote control, I was sure I would have a terrible time returning it to them as we had already left the area. But the host worked with me quickly to facilitate a smooth and easy way to return it to the house by the end of the day. No problemo! De mi corazón, gracias F y D!

Located in Turrialba in the Cartago region, Studio House in Eco-Farm: nature, relaxing, hiking has a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The place is really exceptional. The appartment is fully equipped and very comfortable. It is located close to a river, surrounded by nature. It is an absolutely amazing place for birdwatching (sunbitterns, green ibis, tiger herons, manakins, etc.). We saw more than 80 different bird species!. The owners have made some paths in both sides of the river, and the house care taker knows well where to find specific birds- for instance, we visited the lekking place of the white collared manakin.
