The hotel is chocolate-themed, which means the decor gives a nod to cocoa, but chocolate is also everywhere to be found - at breakfast (real hot chocolate), dinner, and snacks. They have a chocolaterie in the hotel, which you can buy chocolate from.

Distillery Apartments offers accommodation within 200 metres of the centre of Lüneburg, with free WiFi, and a kitchen with an oven, a microwave and a fridge. I booked at short notice because I had two spare days and someone had recommended a visit to Lüneburg. I ended up wishing I could stay longer. The apartment is in one of the town's characteristic heritage listed buildings but inside, everything is modern and high quality. It's spacious, clean and beautiful, and had everything I needed. Access was easy using the code that was sent to my phone. I loved the view of the town square from my room. The location is perfect - an easy walk from the station, right next to St John's church, Christmas markets, grocery stores, restaurants, everything very close. The chocolate on the bed was a nice additional touch.
