It's a wonderful old building, and so much thought was put into the traditional decoration, this is one of those rare places I could have called my home . The room was spacious, the communal kitchen with fridge very well equipped, the bathroom clean, and the communal room was cosy. I would have loved to sit by the fireplace on a cold night (but it wasn't cold). Quiet location but still very close to the bus station and the centre, and on top of that, Roberto is a great host. What can I say? It's perfect.

The room was nice, spacious and clean, and the location was good.We could wash the laundry and hang on the terrace. Nice view from the terrace. The breakfast was good, especially the juice , even if it was the same every single day.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hostal is walking distance from the main plaza and other attractions. Very peaceful atmosphere and beautiful small garden. We planned to stay here 2 nights but extended to stay two more nights.

Authentic guesthouse in the middle of Otovalo. Nice views from the rooftop to the mountains around. Traditional design in rooms - very nice. Breakfast basic but good enough to start the day.

Hostal "El Geranio" is located in the Otavalo town centre, 2 hours’ drive from the capital city, Quito. This property offers free Wi-Fi access, free parking and free daily breakfast. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. All the staff is very friendly and helpful! This place has a nice location, you are close from many places to explore around. We also loved they are pet friendly!
