Excellent location in the old town by the beach, with easy access to some good restaurants nearby. Many were closed for winter but the Italian restaurant next door was a saviour. Breakfast is simple but thoughtful, with fresh made-to-order eggs. Genuinely helpful staff, dog friendly, comfortable bed and pillows, secure parking, mini walk-in wardrobe area and ample power plugs by the bed for all your tech gadgets.

Boasting a bar, Hostal Es Niu de Tamariu is set in Tamariu in the Catalonia region, 300 metres from Platja de Tamariu and 29 km from Medes Islands Marine Reserve. The property was extremely welcoming, the town itself was so beautiful and quiet. The location was perfect for being close to the beach

Located within 400 metres of Platja Sant Feliu and 34 km of Girona Train station, Hostal Boutique Es Portalet provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sant Feliu de Guixols. Comfortable and very pleasant accommodation. Brian was an excellent host, welcoming and accommodating. Excellent breakfast, good location and great value. Can't ask for more.

Facing the beachfront, Boutique Hotel Élke Spa Superior offers 4-star accommodation in Sant Feliu de Guixols and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge and terrace. Excellent location and value. The property is in great shape and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was incredible. Also, they have a spa that is only $10 euros per person per hour with a dry sauna, a wet sauna, a jacuzzi and a cold plunge pool. We made a reservation for the spa and were the only ones in there…great amenity.

Mas Pere Pau is located in the natural setting of Bruguers, in Besalú, 5 minutes' drive from the city centre. It offers well-equipped apartments, studios and rooms with mountain and garden views. The room was spacious, nicely designed and super clean. Also they provided a bed, some snacks and a bowl for our dog, which was a little touch but very much appreciated! The little terrace was also nice to wake up too. I would totally stay again and recommend it to my friends and family 10/10

Featuring an outdoor pool and a fitness centre, Catalonia Square is located in Barcelona’s historic centre. The staff are super friendly, courteous and always willing to help. The hotel room was very large and the hotel was generally up to date, clean, wonderful etc.. We didn't miss anything. We will gladly come back again!

Offering a shared outdoor pool, Arrels d'Emporda is a pet-friendly aparthotel located in Palafrugell, 300 metres from the city centre. Full kitchen and good room size. Parking onsite for a reasonable fee but plenty of free street parking across the street
