Catalonia El Pilar is located in Zaragoza’s old town, 2 minutes’ walk from the central market and the Basilica del Pilar. It offers a modern gym, and rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Fabulous location, n the middle of the historic area plus easy access to shopping. My room had a beautiful balcony from which I could watch daily life and the magi ici en Semana Santa processions. An unexpected experience!

I had requested a quiet room and was well accommodated. The room was small but well designed and comfortable. My favorite moments came with breakfast, which featured local items individually prepared by the delightful staff; the coffee was great. I took a taxi to the hotel from the train station, but there is also a bus that runs nearby. The hotel is an easy walk to the major cultural sites, including the Aljaferia (there's also a bus) and the basilica. There's a supermarket right across the street.
