Set in Saint-Angel and within 22 km of Neuvic d'Ussel Golf Course, Auberge du Prieuré has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The auberge provides everything you need when travelling and the rooms etc have been recently constructed to a very good standard. Breakfast was not provided but croissants etc were obtained from a nearby patisserie to accompany coffee provided in the restaurant adjoining the auberge. Saint Angel was good for an evening stroll.

A really excellent little room, comfortable and clean with lovely attention to detail. The location is perfect, right in the old town. Annick was extremely welcoming and looked after us very well. The breakfast, partly homemade, was a lovely feature. It also made a big difference to have a private off-road car parking space. All in all, highly recommended.

Set in Lezoux, 26 km from Zénith d'Auvergne, Château de Codignat offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Location was fabulous. Room was wonderful. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Food all homemade, traditional, healthy and very tasty, and the playlist during dinner was befitting of a medieval castle. Beautiful walks surrounded the castle. And it was very pet friendly. Will definitely be back.

Fab area, to stay in and travel through.
