All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the whole history of the site, we like the fact that in the evening we had the whole place to ourselves, Some mornings and every evening we went for a walk about and found new places that we had not seen before, A beautiful well manicured gardens, a credit to the owner,The English breakfast was really good, we will stay there again in the future. Relaxed place and surrounded by hills and only accessible via narrow roads so ‘tourists’ are seldom. Beautiful nature just outside the door/ window, and a picturesque harbour. Very friendly staff. Delicious food options offered too. From breakfast to dinner.

Stayed in May for 2 nights and it was exactly what we needed as a base for a wedding. The lodges are set beautifully above woodland, ideal for sitting out on the balcony/deck with your morning coffee with the peacocks for entertainment. The Lodges are really well laid out and nicely decorated, it felt really fresh but homely at the same time. There is an onsite pub, which was very nice and traditional. All the staff we encountered were lovely, would happily stay again if in Cornwall.

Very old traditional pub with amazing food and staff. The White House accommodation is next door where we stayed. Very clean lovely room with a country view.

The place is fantastic. The room was very clean, bright, and comfortable. Extremely well equipped. We bought our dog and in the room was a bowl, bed and treats for him. The restaurant is very welcoming and spacious. The food was fantastic. We only ate breakfast, but it was lovely. There are lots of choices on the menu for food throughout the day. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome even when they were extremely busy and having to work the hotel reception and the restaurant. The young lad that settled us in was brilliant. We will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Wonderful staff friendly and helpful Wonderful pub on first impression and location Wonderful food was amazing complements to the chief the best venison ever. Wonderful atmosphere in the bar Nicely decorated all round which enhanced the stay.
