We really enjoyed to walk around and even saw a wild crocodile! We also did a hike on a nature trail set out by the accommodation. The bungalow was also lovely, spacious and with airco. Great food and very friendly staff.

Having stayed at another lovely hostel close to the town of Rio Dulce, I would say this end of the river is more beautiful and unspoilt. You can take kayaks out and explore the little mangrove creeks near the hostel or venture as far afield as the Biotopo nature reserve. So many suggestions of fun and interesting things to do you could easily spend a week here!
