The hostel had such a homey feel to it, super relax and welcoming. I had everything i needed for my stay, and the balcony upstairs was hands down the best spot. Great breeze and perfect place to hang out with some new friends i met along the way.

Pondok Is Oke Bamboo Lodge ligger i Licin, 34 km fra Watu Dodol, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. Can not recommend Pandok Is Oke enough. One of the best places we have ever stayed at on our travels. The beautiful scenery, the wonderful family, the kindness of Putri and Wisnu and also being able to connect with this power couple. The food, the atmosphere, friendly people in the area, gorgeous views of rice paddies, everything. If you are considering it for your Ijen Trip, you will regret it if you only book one or two nights.

The place is super clean and well made. It is perfectly situated to visit the falls, you can literally walk there if you want.

I had a wonderful stay at the De Karangajah coffee plantation. It feels like a time capsule. The property is very much like it was back in the Dutch colonial times. There are two museums with lots of little interesting exhibits. There is a cafe which serves Indonesian food and very good coffee from 9am to 4.30pm, which you do need to think about if you are staying. I went to have a few days of peace and quiet. However, I discovered that on the weekends there are an awful lot of visitors because locals love to have their photos taken there. It actually was very nice to meet them. I am giving a 10 for the whole experience which was just purely wonderful. The room itself, does need an upgrade. It's quite adequate, and well cleaned. The ceiling fan worked, the hot water was actually hot and plentiful, but the room does need to be brought up to a more modern standard.
