The beautiful scenery, the wonderful family, the kindness of Putri and Wisnu and also being able to connect with this power couple. If you are considering it for your Ijen Trip, you will regret it if you only book one or two nights.

It feels like a time capsule. The property is very much like it was back in the Dutch colonial times. There are two museums with lots of little interesting exhibits. There is a cafe which serves Indonesian food and very good coffee from 9am to 4.30pm, which you do need to think about if you are staying. I went to have a few days of peace and quiet. However, I discovered that on the weekends there are an awful lot of visitors because locals love to have their photos taken there. It actually was very nice to meet them. I am giving a 10 for the whole experience which was just purely wonderful. The room itself, does need an upgrade. It's quite adequate, and well cleaned. The ceiling fan worked, the hot water was actually hot and plentiful, but the room does need to be brought up to a more modern standard.
